Room was part of a deal for a function I was at and included breakfast, looking at reviews for the Mercure in Ayr some poor ones but my stay was first class ,bed size was huge ,breakfast was good , also pool was used as well. Could not fault my stay and function hall was excellent.

Very friendly & helpful staff. Lovely dinner in the restaurant and breakfast both mornings was served very quickly and piping hot. My husband ordered porridge and we both got got poached eggs which were made fresh for us. Staff in the restaurant and the bar were so nice and friendly. On the Friday night, there was an older barman who went out of his way to accommodate us with our drinks and it was very much appreciated. The hotel is maybe a wee bit dated/tired but that didn't impact on our stay at all and we would definitely stay in the Mercure Ayr again.

Comments regarding GYM+POOL Mercure Myself and my friend visited the spa facilities (sauna,steam room,pool and gym).We admire from Kane Wharton. He welcomed us kindly.After introducing himself, explain very carefully the safety measures when using the spa facilities and equipment and remind us to follow the instructions regarding coronavirus measures. During the use of the facilities he was responsive and provided cleanliness and safety environment With his behavior and attitude towards work and visitors he can be an example to follow among his colleagues

Hotel was lovely, great location and had a sea view. Staff could not have accommodated anymore to us. Excellent service, especially from Danielle in the restaurant/bar area. Made my daughter feel so welcome. Food and drink were great. Only down side to the stay was the noise levels from other rooms. But this is to be expected at the weekends. We will be back.

Overnight stay to celebrate a big birthday. Rooms are dated but we're clean and comfortable. We had a bottle of wine on arrival which was a nice touch. Breakfast was the usual hotel offering and everything was very nice. Found the staff all very friendly. Would definitely go back.
